Jews have a long history in Iran. I have decided to focus writing on their heritage in the near future if time permits. This paper is a hand written and illuminated marriage contract with ornamental border, made up of calligraphed verses, repeating floral and other patterns in red, ochre (golden-yellow), and black ink. Sanandaj is the capital of the Iranian province of Kurdistan.
