The dancer is depicted standing in an interior, the reverse inscribed in French 'école persane. This painting is possibly created after Naser Adin Shah's travel to Europe, since this he created this type of outfit specially the short skirt for female members of his court when he came back to Iran. This type of skirts were copied by the king from ballerinas' outfits.
