نقاشی اروتیک اواخر دوره قاجار
This artwork seems to belong to either later Qajar period or early Pahlavi period. These illustrations were not originally part the Persian visual arts. Such scenes were obviously adopted from Indian Kama Sutra illustrations as Iranian became familiar with these forms when they had more direct cultural interactions with Mughal Empire. Since The official language of the Mughal court was Persian, the Indian Kama Sutra illustrations were usually written in Persian. This linguistic connection perhaps facilitated the adaption of this art form in Iran.
