The oval portrait depicting the sitter half length, around his neck a portrait of Nasir al-Din Shah, richly dressed with an embroidered coat and wearing a distinctive black hat, on blue sky background, the portrait framed with gold flamed frame, with floral spandrels on pink ground, signed in Persian in pencil to the left side, framed and glazed.
